Coastal Valet Trash Services ("Coastal Valet," "we," "us") provides door-to-door valet trash service in Brunswick County, North Carolina. This policy explains how we handle information you give us through coastalvts.com, including our online estimate tool.

Information we collect

• Information you give us. When you request an estimate or contact us, we collect your name, email address, phone number, company or community name, and the property details you enter, such as property type, number of doors or units, location, and service preferences.
• Your follow-up choice. Whether you checked the box allowing us to follow up by email or text, and when.
• Technical information. To block spam and abuse, we keep a one-way hashed version of your IP address for a short rate-limiting window. Our hosting provider also processes standard request data, such as IP address and browser type, to deliver and protect the site.

We do not use advertising trackers or sell your information.

How we use it

• To prepare and send your estimate and follow up about it.
• To schedule a property walk, set up service, and manage your account.
• To answer questions and service requests.
• To keep the website secure and working.

We only send follow-up emails or texts about your estimate if you said that was OK. You can ask us to stop at any time.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that help us run the business, and only for the purposes above:

• Cloudflare hosts the website, stores estimate requests, and runs the Turnstile check that tells people apart from bots.
• Resend delivers estimate and notification emails.
• Google serves the website's fonts and hosts the spreadsheet we use to track estimate requests.
• Our customer management system keeps your estimate and account details in one place for our team.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers, or the public.

Cookies and local storage

We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare Turnstile may set a short-lived cookie to verify you are not a bot. The accessibility options on this site save your choices, such as larger text, in your own browser so they stay on as you move between pages. That information never leaves your device.

How long we keep it

We keep estimate requests and account records for as long as we need them to provide service, follow up, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. Hashed IP records used for rate limiting are short-lived.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Call us at (910) 317-0220 or use our contact page. We may need to keep some records where the law requires it.

Children

Our website and services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Security

We use reputable providers and limit access to your information to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the effective date.
